artist bio
Riley Conn is a distinguished artist whose journey began in scenic Coronado, California. A proud alumnus of the University of California at Davis, Riley’s post-academic life flourished in Mammoth Lakes, California for 15 years before he found his haven in Palm Desert, California.
At the heart of Riley’s artistry is a profound connection to nature, history, people and the myraid shapes and colors that speak through his work. His primary mediums are oil and acrylic which he masterfully manipulates to bring his inspirations to life. Whether it’s from his studio or on the road during his explorative road trips, Riley’s creativity knows no bounds.
Influenced by iconic artist like Maynard Dixon, Edgar Payne, CM Russell and contemporary figures such as Olaf Wieghorst, Logan Maxwell, and Mitchell Johnson, Riley’s work echoes the grandeur of the Western Landscape and the intricate narratives of its history.
